OUR WEDDING VIDEO

The only feeling I can pinpoint watching this film is complete and overwhelming chills. We were married on June 30, 2015, at St. Lorenzo, Certosa Del Galluzzo in Florence, Italy surrounded by some of the best people we've been lucky enough to know in our lives. Between Chris and I and the grace of God, we managed to pull off a four day soiree + catholic ceremony in Tuscany, and lived to tell the tale. It was the single most difficult and most rewarding wedding I've been a part of planning.

This film was created by the talented Ale Vidal, who, after two+ years away from the wedding cinematography industry, jumped in head first to this special project. She, and her travel partner husband Jose, will forever hold such a special place in our hearts for capturing our best adventure yet.

Real Wedding: Ashley + Ben

Ashley + Ben were an incredibly special couple to work with. They were married in early April, in the backyard of the new home they had lovingly poured their blood, sweat and tears into renovating. I can't begin to say enough about what SKILLED interior designers these two are (I swear they should start a company), and their wedding was an equally beautiful reflection of their great taste and personalities. 

One of the best parts of the wedding? Each table had THEIR OWN wedding cake, staged in the center of the table among gorgeous white roses and rustic accents. Each of the 10 cakes were a different flavor, and guests ad the best time guessing which treat they'd be having come cake cutting time. The surprise? The catering team pulled the cakes and sliced them them all into small slivers, giving each plate a flavor or two to try, and all mixed among the guests. If people weren't friendly by that point - there were likely some awkward fork flying across different plate moments. Sharing is caring, after all.

What a wonderful surprise! When I first spoke to Sam + Kieran a whopping TWO weeks before their wedding, I knew these two were special.

A three-day extravaganza of a wedding, all to take place at a boy scout summer camp in northern arizona. Friends and family flew in from all over the world (literally! There was a whole group from Ireland!) to celebrate the pair, who are some of the kindest, most creative people I've had the pleasure to know. Fun fact? Sam is one half of Standard Wax, and hand made each and every one of the candles used at the wedding with her partner Andrew. This was just one of the many personalized touches throughout the weekend!

And now, what a joy to see their wedding showcased on Junebug weddings is too cool! With photos from the uber talent Kym Ventola, who managed to capture the weekend exactly as it felt in person. Emotional, fun-loving, optimistic, enveloping, and truly...full of adventure.
