Back in September, Karie & Field Denny of Ace & Whim came to me with an idea of an all day workshop for fine art photographers, focused on business, branding, and boosting the attendee's wedding shooting skills. They wanted to put on an amazing photoshoot for the latter half of the workshop, where attendees could actually see first hand what the duo act like when the shoot, and receive feedback right then and there about their craft.
My job? Get creative. Find an over the top gorgeous gown, a sophisticated yet casual suit, build a tablescape that spoke to our inspiration of muted desert tones, the grays of a building storm and the effortless elegance of a couple in a love so fierce the need no one else to be present during their vows.
I pulled inspiration from the natural variety of slate, which we managed to track down the most perfect silverware from Pottery Barn to match. The plates are Anthropologie, stemware Crate & Barrel.
My next favorite part of the whole experience? Pulling together an amazing team to help execute. If you have a few minutes to peruse these stellar individuals, you won't be sorry!
